Our Classes

OBEDIENCE PACKAGES:
  • HEAD START: $260 – Puppies 8wks to dogs of any age. 90 minute Private Lesson which may be divided into 2 lessons at the trainers discretion plus a 6 week group class.
  • PUPPY CLASSE: $150 – (8 weeks to about 14 weeks) This is the age when most rapid learning occurs. (Personality wise) Greatest impact on future social behavior will be made by any experience that happens at this point. THE WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY IS CLOSING. Don’t miss this VERY IMPORTANT LEARNING OPPORTUNITY for your puppy.
    • New students must attend orientation prior to attending their 6 week group Puppy class.
    • Orientation is held Tuesday evening at 6:00PM. (PHS students may schedule orientation anytime and bring puppy.)
    • People only, please leave your pup at home.

    • Must have proof of kennel cough, parvo, distemper vaccine minimum 7 days prior to class.
    • Orientation is FREE and open to anyone interested in learning more about our training program.
  • Level 1- OBEDIENCE BEGINNERS -$150 – 6 weeks. For puppies over 4 months and friendly beginner dogs of any age. Teaches you how to train manners, attention and important commands, “Come, Sit stay, Go lay down, Leave it, Watch me, Walk on loose leash”.
  • Level 2 & 3- INTERMEDIATE & THERAPY DOG - $150/$120 for students who have completed 2 sessions or $25 drop in fee. Prepares you and your dog for public appearances. A sample of everything to keep your dogs mind sharp, rally o, hoops, backyard agility.
  • Level 3 -ADVANCED ATTENTION – $150/$120 for students who have completed 2 sessions or $25 drop in fee.. Having trouble getting and keeping your dogs attention? Prepares you and your dog for a future in dog sports, or a very active lifestyle through Attention Exercises & Rally Obedience. Dogs must know “Sit Stay” and “Come”.
  • TRAINING PACKAGE – $650 -90 min private lesson (may be divided into 2 lessons & trainer may do all or part of the training) and 1 year membership in group class training. Unlimited group classes at your level. You may advance at your own pace. (Works like a gym membership; save over $200)

AGILITY:

  • A1- INTRO TO AGILITY- BEGINNERS -$150 – 6 weeks. Prerequisite “Sit Stay” and “Come”.
  • A2- ADVANCED BEGINNER AGILITY - $150 – 6 weeks.
  • A3- AGILITY – $120 – 6 weeks.

Behavior Consultations, Private Lessons, Animal Assisted Activities, In home Training – gives immediate aid to families with dogs that need more attention than what we would be able to give in our Pet Dog classes, who are not able to commit to a weekly visit, who’s dog may be aggressive to people or dogs or may need to train behaviors not taught in regular classes. We evaluate dog and the situation and customize a program specifically for you. Economical packages are available for those who need multiple visits. Lessons must be used within 3 months of purchase. What to bring to class:

2-3 VARIETIES (sandwich bag size) SOFT TREATS IN A TREAT BAG, DOG TOYS, POOP BAGS
Clicker is optional (but a really good idea) in Levels Class… but must have clicker for Agility Classes

How Open Play/Doggie Socials Work:

  • Group size is limited to 8 dogs. Attendance is allowed on first come first serve basis.
  • You can reserve a space by calling: 610-437-9978, or emailing us: info@chaar.us
  • Any friendly dog over 4 months old may attend
  • Cost is $10.00 per dog, per session

We ask that only friendly dogs attend. A room monitor will supervise the group, but he or she will not necessarily be a trainer. If your dog displays actions of dominance or aggression that may endanger or provoke other dogs or people in the room the room monitor will ask you to either temporarily restrain your dog, sit out for the session, or leave (depending on severity/frequency of negative behaviors). Sorry, no refunds for dogs that display this kind of behavior.

Please be sure to let your dog sniff around and go potty in the grass outside the store before coming in to play. This is a good idea even if he went before getting in the car because there are lots of new smells and sights here. We also recommend going outside for periodic potty breaks during open play. If your dog goes potty in the play room it’s your job to clean up. We’ll provide the cleaning supplies; however, if your dog has more than 3 accidents in the room you’ll be asked to sit out for the remainder of that day’s session. We think that’s pretty reasonable for a 1 hour long session.
